It works better on MAC paint pot in Indianwood as shown in the second swatch. Pigmentation is an issue but there is nothing which cannot be fixed by a primer. It is a velvety smooth shade which will be perfect for Indian festive makeup or as a base in bridal makeup. Oily lids would need a primer underneath so the colour doesn’t crease or fade.ĭupe: Urban Decay Dirtysweet, Milani Gold Bronze, Inglot 12 shine freedom system eye shadow refill is a similarĬonclusion: MAC woodwinked is a very pretty duo chrome bronze gold shade with a dream texture. It needs 2-3 coats for the colour to show up properly.Average pigmentation which needs 2-3 layers to show that beautiful colour.Doesn’t fall out or crease on normal to dry lids.Perfect shade for bridal and festive makeup too.Packaging is sturdy and travel friendly.Long staying power of 6-7 hours and even more with primer.Beautiful bronze-brown shade for the lid.

Both these eyeshadow shades go well with Indian wear and suit Indian skin tones. Another great shade from MAC is Expensive Pink which is a gorgeous shimmery rose gold shade which looks stunning on the eyes. It is one of the perfect gold eye shadows for bridal makeup too as it gives a metallic sheen to the lids without looking over the top. A perfect bronze-gold shade for the base or on its own in a soft brown Smokey eye. For girls who love neutral makeup, this is a must have eyeshadow shade in the palette. If i have to summarize this woodwinked review in a sentence, this shade is a perfect bronze shade which doesn’t seem too much on the eyes. The staying power of the mac eyeshadow is amazing as it stays on my lids for a good 6-7 hours without fading or creasing.

It is a great base colour when you want to create different eye shadow combinations. Just pair it up with a soft pink lipstick and i am all set for office. I also use woodwinked to create a soft brown Smokey eye when i want a natural look. This smooth and buttery finish makes the application of this mac eye shadow very easy and it blends like a dream. The texture of woodwinked by mac is very satiny and velvety with fine shimmer as the name suggests. 2-3 layers need to be applied for the woodwinked colour to show properly. The pigmentation of the mac eyeshadow is not something that will amaze you and this is one of the least pigmented eye shadows i have from MAC cosmetics. It is a muted eyeshadow colour so even if you put many layers, it won’t look gaudy or too much. On some skin tones, mac woodwinked shows a tinge of orange and looks a bit coppery. Sometimes they will have a few extras at the counter leftover from limited edition collections. The woodwinked shade is a medium warm golden brown colour and looks almost bronze on the eyes.

To view the full line of paint pots, check out MAC’s website. It’s a little more fun and you can still layer it as a primer. If you’re only going to get one, I would start with a shimmery everyday eyeshadow. If you can afford to buy both, I guarantee you won’t regret it. Thank goodness I got help, because Painterly is a perfect match. I almost bought a shade that had way too much yellow in it for my skin tone. If you’re looking for the latter, make sure to ask for help. So before you go, think about whether you want an everyday eyeshadow or need a primer. (Let Me Pop photo via The Beauty Alchemist) Let Me Pop is really similar to Rubenesque, but has a little more shimmer and is a little more of a copper color. I (Hannah) have Let Me Pop (which was limited edition, so I couldn’t find a normal swatch) and Painterly One for a daytime shadow and one for a primer. If you want to wear it as more of a primer and a base beneath your shadows, you’ll want to find one that is a good match for your skintone that is more of a matte finish.ĭanielle and I each have two paint pots.

If you want to wear it as a shadow alone, then you’ll want one with a little more color and shimmer. Picking your paint pot shade has a lot to do with what you want to use it for. Great choice! I promise you will not regret buying a paint pot. I really want to buy a MAC paint pot, but I’m not sure which one I should get, What would y'all recommend? 2 notes JMAC Paint Pot glitterandsass asked beautyforum:
